How much does it cost?
It's free to set up SoundFlare and start selling on your site. At the end of each month we'll send you a bill for 15% of the total money accepted through the system. You will need to pay this bill from your PayPal account in order to continue using the system for another month.
Can anyone use SoundFlare?
Yes. As long as you have music to sell and a website to sell it from. SoundFlare does not provide you with a new website, it gives you a music store on your existing website.
How hard is it to set up?
SoundFlare is very easy to set up. Should you have any problems we are on hand to help you out.
How long does it take to set up?
It only takes 10 minutes to register and get the system working on your website. It can take longer to upload your music, this depends on the number of files you want to upload and the speed of your internet connection.
Do I need to alter my website in any way?
You will need to copy our code in to the page that you want the store to appear on. That is all. Anyone with access to edit a website can integrate the system.
My website is built using Flash. Can I still use SoundFlare?
SoundFlare does not work within Flash websites. We advise that you create a new page for the store and link to it from your main website. If you are unable to do this please contact us and we can offer an integration service.
Does the SoundFlare system work on all computers/browsers?
SoundFlare has been tested on all modern browsers on both Macs and PCs.
Is the admin section easy to use?
Yes. Anyone can use the admin section of this website to add records, monitor sales and traffic.
Can I use SoundFlare in any country?
Yes. SoundFlare is an international store and you can sell your records in any currency you require.
How many SoundFlares can I use?
You are allowed to register once for each domain name you will be using the store under.
Is the purchase process secure for my customers?
Yes. Payments are handled by PayPal and are completly secure.
In what format can we sell our music?
The system is designed to sell MP3 files. This format is compatible with all computer platforms, operating systems and MP3 players.
How will my customers receive their CDs/Merchandise?
SoundFlare will provide you with the order details, the delivery address and the payment status. You will then need to post CDs or merchandise to your fans. The system will calculate P&P costs and add it to the price of the order. MP3 sales are completely automated.
How will I receive payments from my customers?
You can accept payments from Credit/Debit Cards or through a PayPal account.
What if I don't have a PayPal account?
You will need to set up an account with PayPal in order to receive payments through SoundFlare.
How long do I have to wait to receive my money after making a sale?
PayPal payments appear instantly on your account sheet.
How do SoundFlare collect their fees?
